Let's start with a definition of each disease

Corona COVID 19 is a disease of the SARS family that affects the lungs, so it is a respiratory disease, caused by a SARS-Cov-2 virus.

Ebola, a disease caused by a virus called Ebola, it is a somewhat rare disease comparing with COVID 19. This disease first appeared in 1976 in Nzara (South Sudan) and Yambuku (Democratic Republic of the Congo ).

The Spanish Flu, is a disease caused by the flu A (H1N1) virus, it spread between 1918 and 1919. It is called Spanish Flu because Spain is the only country that has published information on this disease although the first of this disease appeared in the United States.

COVID 19 and the economy

The big problem with COVID 19 is that it arrived in the time of rapid transport (planes, cars, trains ... .), which helped him reach out to the whole world.

Health is not the only sector which has been affected by COVID 19, there are even effects on the economic world are:

  • Economies of many countries are affected by this disease,
  • Many companies are closing,
  • The increase in the prices of imported products in all countries,
  • The price of oil and gas has been affected and decreased by the effect of this disease,
  • Many companies have relied on remote work (telecommuting),
  • The emergence of a large number of poor due to the loss of their jobs,

Netfelix alone has seen an increase in the use of its app, where it saw 16 million new customers between January and March and a 57% and 34% increase in Italy and Spain respectively during the lockdown period.
Disney suffered an estimated loss of 1.4$ billion after its amusement parks were closed due to containment measures.
